BUTTER BOWL SALAD
   1/2 head lettuce, shredded
   1 avocado, peeled and cubed
   1 grapefruit, peeled and separated in sections
   2 tomatoes, peeled and quartered
   3 tablespoons chopped chives
   2 tablespoons lemon juice
   Salt and pepper, to taste
   1/3 cup butter
   Combine
 in salad bowl, lettuce, avocado, grapefruit sections, tomatoes and chives. 
Season
with lemon juice, salt and pepper. Heat butter until foamy and golden brown. 
Pour
immediately over salad. Toss ingredients lightly to blend. Serve at once.
