oven though. What a cool idea! Thanks again!
And thanks for all the great poems and quotes you send too.

Subject: [RecipesAndMore] Beef Stroganoff Casserole

Beef Stroganoff Casserole

2 large mild onions, chopped fine
About 3 tablespoons butter
1 1/4 pounds round steak
Flour
1/2 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 can condensed tomato soup
1/4 cup sherry
1 cup beef boullion or stock
salt and pepper
sour cream
cooked noodles

Pan fry onions in butter until soft, then transfer to casserole.

Cut steak into narrow strips, 2 inches long. Roll meat in flour. Then brown
in
hot melted butter. Transfer meat to casserole.

Brown mushrooms in remaining butter, adding more butter if necessary.
Transfer
mushrooms to casserole.

Combine soup, sherry, and bouillion and pour over contents of casserole.
Season
to taste with salt and pepper.

Bake in moderate oven (350 F.) until meat is tender, about 40 minutes.

Serve over hot cooked noodles, topping each portion with sour cream.

Serves 4 to 5.

A single candle can illuminate an entire room. A true friend lights up
an entire lifetime. Thanks for the bright lights of your friendship.
