Brad Paisley Is Favorite Country Artist, Says Radio Survey

Brad Paisley ranks first among listeners' favorite country artists in a 
newly-released survey undertaken by the Country Radio Broadcasters Inc. and 
Edison
Research. More than 13,000 listeners, who cited a country station as their 
primary station, took part in the poll. Paisley earned a 4.5 on a scale of 1-5.
He was trailed by Brooks & Dunn and George Strait (4.4), as well as Trace 
Adkins, Kenny Chesney, Alan Jackson, Toby Keith and Tim McGraw (4.3). The most
popular emerging artists that survey participants "first learned about in the 
last year or two" were Taylor Swift, Lady Antebellum, Sugarland, Carrie 
Underwood
and the Zac Brown Band. All-time favorites named by survey respondents were 
Strait, Chesney, Keith, Garth Brooks and Rascal Flatts.

Kenny Chesney Schedules Greatest Hits: Vol. 2 for May 19

Kenny Chesney will release Greatest Hits: Vol. 2 on May 19. The compilation 
will include a new song, "Out Last Night," which Chesney co-wrote with Brett
James during the Christmas holidays. Additional cuts include "I'm Alive" (his 
duet with Dave Matthews), "Anything but Mine," "Be as You Are," "Beer in
Mexico," "Down the Road" (with Mac McAnally), "The Good Stuff," "I Go Back," 
"Living in Fast Forward," "Never Wanted Nothing More," "No Shirt, No Shoes,
No Problems," "Summertime," "There Goes My Life," "When the Sun Goes Down" 
(with Uncle Kracker) and "Young." Chesney released his first Greatest Hits album
in 2000.

Brad Paisley, Randy Travis, Carrie Underwood to Sing on American Idol

Brad Paisley, Randy Travis and Carrie Underwood will all take part in American 
Idol's Grand Ole Opry week on Wednesday (March 18). Paisley will perform
his new single, "Then," for the first time on national television. The single 
is from his forthcoming album, American Saturday Night. In addition, Travis
and Underwood will perform a duet of "I Told You So," which Travis wrote. His 
version reached No. 1 on the country charts in 1988. Underwood's solo version
is her current single. A new studio duet version of "I Told You So" will be 
available digitally the next day. American Idol contestants will select and
perform songs popularized by Grand Ole Opry members on the episodes airing 
Tuesday and Wednesday (March 17-18). Paisley, Travis and Underwood are all 
members
of the Opry.
