HOJELDRADA MEXICAN COOKIES LIBROS

 

from the Hellmann Estate in Lewisville, TX

 

4 cups flour

1/4 teaspoon cream of tarter

1/2 teaspoon salt

1-1/2 cups soft margarine

1 cup ice water

1/4 cup sugar

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

 

Mix flour, cream of tarter and salt in mixing bowl stirring with knife and 
fork. Continue stirring adding 1 cup margarine and dry ingredients along with

cold water a few tablespoons at a time. Continue to stir with fork until dry 
ingredients are kneaded in. Roll out pastry into a large round. Spread on

a little margarine and sprinkle with a small amount of sugar. Fold over 4 times 
spreading more margarine and sugar each time. Fold over 2 or 3 more times

each time rolling dough out to its original size. Cut into 2-inch squares then 
place on a baking sheet and cook for 15 minutes at 350.
