Friends: There is nothing like an argument with a building official to make me question my sanity.
We are permitting an Enphase system. The plan checker says we are required to declare our PV wiring is in compliance with 690.31. As I read 690.31 the first paragraph tells me the section does not apply because we are installing a listed system. The PV leads are covers under the module listing and the Q cable under the Enphase listing. There are no jumpers. 690.31 says listed systems “shall be permitted.” The wording is a bit confusing but that is my interpretation. Am I missing something? Thanks in advance.
