Adam:

It’s a Snap-n-rack Corrugated Straddle Block 232-02421.

I don’t recommend them. They don’t fit all profiles and it’s tough to get
just the right amount of sealant under the block. And I don’t like to rely
on caulk. No caulk is even worse, as you have discovered.

Wrenchers,

I have a client whose prior system (not installed by us) is leaking. The
roofer and solar contractor are pointing fingers at each other. They asked
for my opinion and sent a picture of the attachments. Anyone know what this
is (see attached)? They said the lag goes right through the attachment into
wood purlins. No sealant. It's on the top of the corrugated ridge. I was
trying to figure out if it's an improper use of the equipment or just a bad
design...

Thanks for any thoughts.

Adam
