I'd get the 120 v/ 15 A  adapter, your customer probably already has one, and then you can plug the Killowatt into that. Otherwise, I've made up cables with the outer jacket removed, so I can put a clamp meter on the individual hots.   A third option would be to wire an old utility electric meter with the 240/ 50A plugs on either end.
