I have a Sol-Ark 12, old stock, that I’m thinking of installing at my residence, I have 14kW grid tie with enphase micro’s but want to add some Homegrid batteries for a backup option. I know it’s redundant to have the micros and the Sol-Ark but I also have a separate system with nearly 4kW off-grid, charging batteries. The off-grid part of the system is using an Outback 3648 dual inverter stack with a 12 year old bank of 4kS25 Rolls (48v) batteries. The Homegrid batteries would replace the Rolls so there would only be lithium batteries in the mix.
I’m wondering if I can integrate all these components with the Sol-Ark successfully or am I setting myself up for some severe headaches. Are there some legacy issues with the Sol-Ark 12 that might be a problem? Any suggestions or Wrench experience with similar systems much appreciated.
