Hi all, This is just a PSA in case it helps someone in the future. I was under the impression that the AC Input LED on the Sol-Ark inverters meant that there is "good" AC detected by the inverter on the grid terminals and after some period of delay, something should start happening based on how the inverter is programmed (grid sell, battery charge, etc). That is not the case.
I stupidly stared at a solid green light for far too long, scratching my head and searching the settings before pulling out my meter and finding out that there was only 115V coming in line to line from a generator. It turned out to be a hidden wire nut in a closet that came loose on one of the hots (I didn't install this system, and assumed the generator feed was unspliced, but later found out the hard way that the conductor was not continuous and a total amateur installed the system). The moral of the story is that the LED will apparently be solid with any AC voltage, even if it is far out of range. I thought it would be blinking or another color if the AC input was not within range, and solid only when "good" AC was detected.
