We got caught once by this, the storage inverter was doing strange stuff, tripping breakers, etc. When I realized it was 120/208, we changed to a storage inverternwhich was specified for the arrangement and never had another issue. It's not just the voltage, the included angle between the cycles is 120 not 180 and some inverters can't handle it. Typically any single phase inverter that can be used as three inverters in three phase can handle it fine.
