Some of these even have the 240 receptacle to plug into a 30A home dryer receptacle for hurricane connection. Get the HV solar mppt built-in option and a some panels and you are set for the 30% tax credit. Might not need a wrench someday 😉

A while ago I researched a half dozen systems from as many manufacturers and chose Bluetti as the best bang for the buck. I own and operate many of them, and have a few cabin owners using them instead of gasoline generators, happily.

Anker is a relatively new entrant to the market of these devices, however has a long reputation in portable powerbanks and is my favorite manufacturer of those products. I think they would also be a good contender for this purpose.

This market is growing fast and has many new players, so is hard to keep up with.

Subject:[RE-wrenches] Portable systems

I've got someone asking me about a portable system. It really doesn't have to be that portable. They just need a couple of kWh to back up their pellet stove for a day. There are loads of battery-and-inverter-in-a-box systems out there, but I have no idea about the quality of components. Does anybody have experience with any of these systems and have any recommendations?

Many thanks,

Hilton Dier
