September 2008 Schneider bought Xantrex Inverters & Solar. The XW and later CSW became a Schneider brand and the Marine and Mobile stayed Xantrex. Schneider later built the first 600vdc MPPT. Later Combox built an excellent Cloud based monitor Insight.

It is good news that the SCP will be available again and for now the Marine Freedom/xantrex (black color) SCP can be used with a firmware update.

Probably OK to post this Kevin as it was in the Webinar yesterday.

Thanks for the heads up, Kevin! However I seem to have missed the memo that xantrex and Schneider are separate entities? How far out of the loop am I?

Not sure if it's quite public info yet, but the SCP is going to be available for purchase again.

"In June 2023, Xantrex will begin selling the System Control Panel (SCP). The Xantrex SCP is functionally identical to the discontinued Schneider Electric SCP (part #865-1050-01). The only difference is the color which is black, and will have the "Xantrex" logo. The programming, display, firmware, and installation are identical to the discontinued Schneider Electric SCP.

Support for Schneider Electric SW and XW Pro systems using the Xantrex SCP will still be supported by Schneider Electric Technical Support as you do today. In the event of a defective Xantrex SCP, customers will have to reach out to Xantrex directly for warranty support. The warranty terms and conditions will be provided by Xantrex."

Subject: [RE-wrenches] Schneider Conext SCP

Am I missing something? Schneider has come up with a solution to the discontinued SCP by using a tablet connected to the Insight's ethernet port. In doing so, by utilizing that port it seems there is no longer a way to make a wired connection to the internet.
