I did a Sunrotor pump last year and it works well. They were also very helpful
on the phone.

Subject: [RE-wrenches] Solar direct water pumping

Hi,

I have a friend/client that is looking to keep his pond filled with water
pumped from a spring downhill from the pond. He's happy to have the pond filled
just when there is enough sun to pump, so no batteries are desired. I have
little to no experience with water solar direct pumping, so I'm a little leary
of spec'ing anything. The pump will sit 5 feet deep, the distance from spring
to pond is about 120' and the head is about 30-40' . He found a pump on Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/Submersible-Stainless-Built-Circulating-Brushless/dp/B083NHH18K/

Again I know virtually nothing about this topic so I'm not clear whether this
pump is appropriate or not. Any advice is appreciated.

Howie
