Hey Jay,

This is this is only anecdotal but I have two UPS's with sealed batteries. One sits where the battery is up right. The other one sits on its side and the battery is horizontal. The longevity of the battery in the one oriented upright is about double the other one.

HI All,

I was just contacted by someone who has a 6 yr old absolyte GP 100G33 battery that has lost a lot of capacity.

The manual only lists a horizontal install, but this was installed on its side which I”m guessing was due to space issues.

I am thinking that isn’t good for it, but hopefully someone actually knows if this is bad for it or not.

I have only seen pictures but am just trying to inform myself before I head out. Its also possible that the settings are incorrect which could be the cause as well.

Thanks in advance

jay
