I would consider a 15 cell (3.2 volts per cell) Lithium Iron Phosphate
battery such as FNS (UL Listed 15 cell). This puts the LBCO at about
47.6-48.0V or so. A 15 series cell battery puts the voltage in line with
the LBCO of the Trace inverter without an auxiliary contactor triggered by
the charge controller or another device. EIther way works, but then you
don't have to worry about tripping out the low battery at the BMS
instead of the inverter. I will say that the Fortress is a nice quick
install if you don't have to lift it but the 48V LBCO limit will need to be
dealt with in a 16 cell battery.

Let us know what you decide.

Cheers
