Drake These inverters are indoor rated so dust cans still get inside and if the humidity is high and there is dirt on the boards they omit an odor now I can not say I have ever smelled corn chips but anything is possible, now to get the important info, how hard was the charge, how long was the charge, what was the ambient temperature, the environment the inverter is residing, condition of the inlet screens, is the room dusty, musty or clean and simi habitable, lastly, can criders get on top of the inverters,
