Dear wrenches

I did not include the back story as it is not relevant to my inquiry. However
given the comments I decided to include it in that it will hopefully clear up
any confusion.

Where I used to live, the local community radio station ( poorly funded) has a
old PV system with you guessed it a SMA SB2500U that was installed brand new a
long time ago.
It failed and a replacement was located for $150. But it was 208 and not
240vac, which someone didn’t catch when ordering it.
A buck/boost transformer allows it to work but adds tare losses that we were
trying to remove.

It is my understanding that a like for like component swap is covered under
code rules. Regardless, no inspection or calls to the county permit office were
made or will be made. One of the great joys of living very rurally.

Back to my original post about how to or if it’s possible to convert a 208 to
240vac SMA SB2500U, which appears to be no, thanks to all who contacted me.
