William, I have used various brands of both ferrules and crimp tools. Most of the ferrules I have used are German-made by the Weidmuller brand, these seem to be private labeled by Greenlee and others. Highly recommended. I’ve also had good luck with less expensive ferrules sold through various silly nonsense-brands on Amazon. I recently upgraded to a Rennsteig automatic crimping tool and it’s very smooth and nicely made. It adjusts automatically up to #6AWG, though one has to fiddle with the tension lever a little bit to keep from crimping too deeply on smaller ferrules.
