If it is all Grundfos electronics and the panels they specify, then I would get a permit and let the inspector make the decision.

Solidly grounded PV source circuits with not more than two modules in parallel and not on or in buildings shall be permitted without ground-fault protection." Here is the project. 1. water pumping DC direct grundfos SQFLex 2. no humans anywhere around 3. no buildings or living structures 4. would be 3 pole mounts: each mount as 1 string, so 3 strings. 2019 code 690.41 B2 says that 2 modules in parallel without humans involved doesn't need GFDI 5. system would be solidly grounded. So what is the requirement for needing GFDI on this project? thanks jay _______________________________________________ List sponsored by Redwood Alliance List Address: RE-wrenches@lists.re-wrenches.org [6] Change listserver email address & settings: http://lists.re-wrenches.org/options.cgi/re-wrenches-re-wrenches.org [7] There are two list archives for searching.
