Howie,

As far as I know, and I have not researched this, The El Sid drivers mate to the pump bodies used with March 809BR and 809BR-HS hydronic pumps. The March pumps use brush-type conventional 12 and 24V DC motors. I have heard, but can't confirm, that Dan Fieldman developed the El Sid (Static Impeller Driver) when he worked at March, or after he left them.

I have both March 809BRs and El Sid 10Bs in my off grid hydronic system. Both work equally well, both eventually fail (and not on much of a predictable schedule), both are expensive little buggers, and the El Sids are noticeably quieter.

Hi All,
I need to replace 3-5 El Sid pumps I'm using in a low volume hydronic heating system.  Other than laing pumps, are there any recommendations for 12, 24, or 48 vDC pumps?  Having magnetic drives that mate with the impeller body of the El Sids, would be a bonus.
Thanks,
Howie
