Esteemed Wrenches; I have a strange situation and I'm wondering if any of you have run into it before. The PV system is ~10 years old, and was recently removed and reinstalled for a new roof. The original installer went out of business, and there are NO electrical plans or installer notes. I'm currently trying to procure the plan set from the county building department.
The system consists of a PV-Powered string inverter for most of the array, and a few PV modules with Enphase microinverters on a roof plane with shading issues. I can only assume this was done because the string inverter could not accept multiple MPPT input channels. Though the PV-Powered string inverter can be installed with an Ethernet monitoring card option, that was not done. There is also no Enphase Envoy. Instead the installer used a WattNode Modbus logger with CTs, which are placed right at the utility interconnect to monitor BOTH the string inverter and the microinverters. I assume they did this so as to not have 2 separate monitors. But, with no installer notes......we have no idea what web service was used for this monitoring. When the client purchased the house, no notes, web addresses, logins, passwords etc. were provided. The Wattnode logger (picture) seems to be working....what 3rd-party monitoring services do other Wrenches use that might work with this logger?
