That was an issue back in the 90s with the original Trace SW 4024 inverters as well.  The solution was just to temporarily set the normal bulk setting to the required EQ voltage.  Never did figure that one out, but they were otherwise great inverters that are still in service today.

The system is configured using the Custom Battery setting: Bulk and Absorption are set to 29.2 V. Equalize is set to 32 V.
