The system is Fronius Primo, trip on fault code meaning ground fault in
the array. I disconnect the arrays from the combiner it measures 400+
corresponding to Voc
@ temp. My Fluke multimeter the same about 5 volts to ground off both ends
of the disconnected array. When I connect the inverter and set into
operation I measure a difference of voltage to ground. The tech support
at Fronius says it can't be the inverter. Is the problem in the array? Or
the inverter?

If I meg the array, my procedure is to open circuit the array and connect
my negative lead to ground and my positive lead of the Megger. to the
negative lead of the array. please comment on my megging practice.
