Wrenchsters,

I am looking for advice on selecting the right wood pellet stove for an off
grid house that will not be using regular firewood any longer.
• It will be in the basement so the appearance doesn’t matter.
• The home also has non electric LP gas heat. Looking for a secondary source
for security and to guard against gas price increase.
• The home is 1,000 sq ft. 1-1/2 story (plus basement). Home has large air
movement grates up to first and second floor for heat.
• Rental home – so reliable operation is valued
• Would like auto feed on pellet stove
• Low power draw is important as this is located in Vermont where the sun
doesn’t shine much in the winter.
I have heard that Harman stoves are high quality but they are expensive and
owner doesn’t need the stove to look like it belongs in the living room.

Thanks in advance,
David Palumbo
