Per my Master AC electrician, you do not have to arrange for a meter pull with 
the utility. That to me is one less piece of brain damage to deal with.

I have not checked out the cost of a back fed breaker VS this item.

At SPI this year I spoke with one of their reps briefly and they indicated that 
after many years of trying to get the product ready it was finally going to be 
in production.  I have researched it no further than that however.
