My supplier can't seem to get their hands on this bare cable, which I see as pretty essential/helpful to an efficient installation for Enphase's IQ system. The tech brief notes that the Type DG cable is based on the Type TC-ER construction. There is 12/2 flat TC-ER cable available out there, but it appears they are all 7 strand rather than 19 strand conductors in the Type DG cable. I'm assuming using 7 strand TC-ER cable would violate the listing for the field wirable connectors from Enphase, so I hesitate to go down this road. The Q cable pricing is high, but there's no substitute for doing it right.
Anyone using an acceptable alternative/substitute to the Raw Q cable? Or you can email me directly with a source with available stock. Thanks, J ason Szumlanski
