Hi Wrenches,

Occasionally, we need to up-size the inverter output circuit conductor
sizes (on the inverter AC side) to avoid excessive voltage drop. For
example, we typically use # 10 conductors for a microinverter branch
circuit but occasionally need to up-size to # 8s. A similar scenario might
apply when we have inverters out on on a ground mount array and then have
really long AC runs back to the main service panel location.

Do you think the exception in NEC 690.45 to up-sizing the equipment grounds
applies to these inverter output circuits or not? It is hard to tell
whether 690.45 is meant to only include PV source and PV output circuits:
