I have had a Peerless for 11 years and have not had to replace the batteries
for the ignition yet

Kind regards

I love nuclear energy! It's just that I prefer fusion to fission. And it just
so happens that there's an enormous fusion reactor safely banked a few million
miles from us. It delivers more than we could ever use in just about 8 minutes.
And it's wireless!"

Subject: Re: [RE-wrenches] Unique Off Grid Ranges

Hi Michael,

That really helps. With the problems reported on the Unique Range, I'm leaning
heavily toward Peerless.

Since the Peerless has 8 D cells for the ignitor at 1.5 VDC each, I am
wondering if a 48V to 12V voltage reducer might be able to run the sparker and
avoid the use of the batteries (if these are still available).

Thank you,

Drake
