Hi Wrenches, I see that SMA now has their Sunny Boy Storage product on their website:

If I understand the diagram correctly on the spec sheet, it looks like SMA is going the same route as Tesla where there will be a sort of automatic transfer switch (aka the Gateway with the Powerwall) at the hub of the system.
