I see that SMA now has their Sunny Boy Storage product on their website:

Does anyone have any idea on what "backup unit from 3rd party vendors" may
be available? If I understand the diagram correctly on the spec sheet, it
looks like SMA is going the same route as Tesla where there will be a sort
of automatic transfer switch (aka the Gateway with the Powerwall) at the
hub of the system.
