We never did the calculation for pole mounts. We just used the biggest base size they listed and cast on an extra foot of depth in the form of a square footer. We figured that an extra half yard of concrete is cheap compared to the cost of the digging and form setting. The cost of a 36" sonotube instead of a 32" one is minimal. Peace of mind is priceless.
