i have a set of their fc420's flooded, lead calcium... which is (imo) the perfect battery for grid tie with battery backup. i add water every other year, and equalize every 6 months. these are from 2008 and still going strong. another system i have has a 1986 vintage set (made by "globe battery") and they are still working fine too, so maybe this is more about the specific battery chemistry than manufacturer? todd
