A question about turning the AC on/off as means of primary on/off control for this AC coupling question. Some time ago I was told that most (all?) inverters don’t like having the AC switched on/off as a means of disconnect. If I understand correctly this causes the DC internal relay to have to switch under load which shortens it life. Under normal life this type of disconnecting is really quite rare ( power failures or manual )
Is this still true? jay peltz power _______________________________________________ List sponsored by Redwood Alliance List Address: RE-wrenches@lists.re-wrenches.org Change listserver email address & settings: http://lists.re-wrenches.org/options.cgi/re-wrenches-re-wrenches.org List-Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/re-wrenches@lists.re-wrenches.org/maillist.html List rules & etiquette: www.re-wrenches.org/etiquette.htm Check out or update participant bios: www.members.re-wrenches.org
