THE ONE thing that has kept me using the SMA product line WAS the access to quality products and personnel that has always been supportive with not only design questions but trouble shooting and prompt compensaited component swap out in a warrantee situation. This industry has ALWAYS been plagued w/ vapor ware, products looming on the horizon and over stated product performance that we as installers and the folks who are contributing to the bottom line of the manus have to rectify and explain to our clients that we were sold a bill of goods that the manus are not able to deliver. This is just the products.... not to mention the musical chair scenario for personnel that also seems to plague this industry...... most reciently & NOT only, Greg Smith & quite a few other valuable & enthusiastic former SMA persons recently let go! oh and lets not forget Sandra Herrera formerly of Xantrex. Were these folks let go or leave due to their frustration caused by lack of corporate responses to the problems with their products in industry? Can you say; SI inverters that have yet to see the light of day or the battery over charging firmware of the Connex series, in the AC coupled mode!..... that has yet to be discussed on this list. NO it is quite easy for persons "not to be dramatic", who get a pay check despite vapor ware or the inability of quality design and service persons to help those of us paying their salary.
