Hah! What about Midnight Solar's Clipper? Still, combining that with a grid-tie inverter will undoubtedly be more than he wants to spend! Thanks for the input, Roy. Chris Daum Oasis Montana Inc. 406-777-4309 406-777-0830 fax www.oasismontana.com

With the Aurora it was the MWI interface. I don't believe these are available anymore. It was (is ?) an MPPT wind inverter kind of like the SMA Windy Boy was so would raise its input voltage as the wind blows faster. Now that ABB has taken over Power One, I can't seem to find this one on their web site but I probably just haven't looked long and hard enough. I hope it's still available. It did a pretty good job as I remember. boB On 9/4/2014 2:04 PM, Brian Teitelbaum wrote: Chris, What is the wattage rating of the wind turbine? And is that 48-60 VDC directly out of the turbine, or is that what comes out of the turbine's "controller"? It's an old Cyclone, originally made in Canada. He's wanting a grid-tie inverter to lessen his electrical bill; I know he could use an Outback but he doesn't want to fool with batteries. Anyone got any ideas what inverter might work for him?
