Folks like to buy these "floor sweeper" batteries because they're cheap, but
the RE Series are more appropriate for Renewable Energy systems.

I have never seen long life out of the standard L-16 like this, I have not
confirmed this but I suspect they have more, but thinner plates, to get
amperage out quicker for floor sweepers and the like. IMHO

Kind regards

Subject: [RE-wrenches] Trojan L 16's

For the off grid wrenches out there.

Has anybody noticed L16 G series batteries failing faster than normal?

I've got about three packs that were installed in 2009 and 2010 With existing
customers that know how to maintain them and I'm having what seems to be higher
than on what would be expected failure rates.

If they got 8, 9 or 10 years all of the previous pack there is no reason they
shouldn't get the same out of the replacements. all things being equal no major
changes

Wondering thanks,
Bob Ellison
