Hi Hilton, In my experience the only way to know if it will work is to try it. ( it'll run it, but might not start it) Because there are so many different quality motors out there all with similar "ratings" but they don't work the same. I've seen a 5hp completely trip off line a 15kw diesel generator.
One option is to swap the motor for a 3 phase and then get a 240 single phase to 3 phase motor speed controller. This will allow a soft start, very cool stuff. let us know what you do, jay peltz power On Oct 29, 2013, at 7:47 PM, Hilton Dier III wrote: > Hello Wrenches, > > I have an off-grid client with a 24V system and an old Xantrex SW4024.
