boB, I see and understand the functionality of the input-output bypass switch (breakers). The other breaker labeled "Sunny Boy(s) Input" in the drawing and labeled "Grid Tie Inverter" on the unit, seems to provide a single OCPD for the combined input of the two inverters. The SB 5000 has a maximum output current of 22A and the SB3000 a 15A max output. Seems we should have output breakers on each inverter circuit prior to connection to the SMA E-panel busbar.
It seems there are a couple of options. 1) A small AC combiner panel with a suitably sized breaker protecting each inverter and #6 conductors run from the AC combiner to the SunnyBoy input bus bar in the E-panel. The 60A OCPD ("grid Tie Inverter") in the E-panel protecting this circuit. 2) Two suitably sized AC breakers installed on the extra DIN rail on the right hand side of the E-panel and output of these breakers feeding the busbar. 3) Run #6 conductors from the E-Panel Sunny Boy Input Busbars back to each inverter output circuit, and let the 60A "Sunny Boy(s) Input" breaker provide the OCPD for both inverters. Not sure this option passes muster with a single OCPD protecting two devices. I hope that clarifies the question.
