Hi Lee,
The MC version is similar to the standard SW, but does not have grid usage
menu (no sell/lbx), and does not give AC1 priority (assuming both inputs
are present). It will support the generator with battery power whenever
the load exceeds the AC2 Amps setting in Menu 11.

[RE-wrenches] generator support mode
Sent by:

I have a project using an SW4024 inverter that uses the
generator support mode with a smaller hydro AC generator. Worked well,
but one of the to inverters died. There are plenty of new SWs on the
internet, but all the new ones are SW4024MC2. Apparently the SELL mode
does not exist in the MC2 version and Auto Gen Start is an option. Does
anyone know if the good old generator support is available in the MC2
version, or has it been scrapped along with the SELL mode.

Generator support mode--where some inverter AC output can
be added to the generator AC input to meet a load larger than the
generator could otherwise handle. Not just where the inverter backs off
the battery charger enough to use full generator input for the load.

Any insight on the MC2 version would be helpful.
