Jay, I would think these very important features would be listed in their data sheet but they are not. Their website does not offer any installation or operation manuals for download. If you have any evidence to this I would like to review it.
In my experience, battery charging is a highly misunderstood subject. There are manufacturers that claim their charge controllers "tapper current" but they do not. Current flowing into a battery is a function of voltage and the electrochemical process. If Kohler has a circuit that changes the current over time, it would be unusual but surely documented. I talked to my genny buddy about the Kohler and he said: The voltages are adjustable. On the 24v unit, from 24 to 33v. It also tapers the current down to around 40 amps, from a peak of 222. thanks, jay peltz power _______________________________________________ List sponsored by Home Power magazine List Address: RE-wrenches@lists.re-wrenches.org Change email address & settings: http://lists.re-wrenches.org/options.cgi/re-wrenches-re-wrenches.org List-Archive: http://lists.re-wrenches.org/pipermail/re-wrenches-re-wrenches.org List rules & etiquette: www.re-wrenches.org/etiquette.htm Check out participant bios: www.members.re-wrenches.org
