slightly off topic, but does the magnum offer 'generator support' like the old
sw's did? this would be critical when operating off a small genny like that.

The Honda works great since the Magnum gives you control over the charge
current in 10% steps. Just go to Charge Rate in the Setup Menu and turn it
down. Then start the generator and once connected (chg light on solid) adjust
the charge current up. If the generator starts to labor, just back it off. We
even have customers using the 1000 and 2000 watt inverter models with no
problems.

On the subject of the Honda 3000 inverter generators. Has anyone had
any issues running them as chargers with the Magnum 4024 inverters?
Just wondering, i have a customer looking at the 3000 honda or the
sized Yamaha.inverter unit.

Any thoughts,

Or the Honda eu1000 if you want something smaller than the 2000. The
eu-i hondas start giving me inverter/charger waveform/freq troubles
at 3000i and up, but never an issue with the 1k or 2k. Quiet, too. My
2000i lives indoors, and goes on every job or service call. She's a
sweetheart. Keep her warm, and you might as well have electric start
as it's 1st pull every time.

I would add a Honda eu2000is unless you want an auto start unit.

If so, an Onan RV microlite (we reclaimed one from an old RV and mounted
it to our job trailer tongue)

Thank you,
