Wrenches, Kyocera has refused to warranty one of their defective solar modules. Until today, they were replacing their defective 120 watt and 80 watt solar modules made in 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002, with remanufactured units.
The PV modules manufactured during the dates listed are failing in very large numbers. A poorly soldered connection will open reducing the Voc to about 10 volts. We have exchanged many of these modules without any problems. Today they have declined to replace a 120 even though it was their faulty manufacturing that caused the problem. A SAD day indeed.
