Mick,
There are both QOU2DTILA and QO2DTILA. Surprisingly, they're different items and aren't interchangeable.

Hello, Jeremy or Amy~

The T240 auto-transformer did not ever come factory-installed on a Trace Power Panel. The T240 was always just a part, but some technicians have field installed those onto the blank space on a "single inverter" Power Panel. T240 does incorporate some Square-D breakers and I believe there were some blank spaces which could be used as desired.

The Square-D Mechanical Interlock allows a "toggle" between two (QO or QOU) adjacent breakers, so that only one breaker can be "on" at a time. (This accessory requires that the breaker on the right side is double pole. The LH breaker can be double pole or single pole.) The part number for the Mechanical Interlock part is QOU2DTILA.

The Mechanical Interlock was used in the gray box(es) at top of the Trace Power Panel and in that case the Interlock is working with QO style breakers plugged into a mini-sized QO breaker box. The gray cover on those mini breaker boxes was always a funky fit over the breakers inside...something just didn't seem to line up properly.

The same Mechanical Interlock can also work with QOU (Unit mount) breakers from Square-D and those are the ones which were used inside the T-240 transformer. The QOU's do not plug into a conventional breaker bus but instead they have mounting tabs so they can be bolted down, and they accept a wire on both ends of the breaker.

Proper ampacity rating for AC breakers depends on the transfer switch rating for the inverter in question. For DR series inverters those breakers were rated for 30 amps. For SW series inverters the AC breakers were rated for 60 amps.

Breaker model numbers for Square-D begin with the series...QO or QOU in this case...followed by one digit to indicate the number of poles...followed by two digits to indicate the ampacity rating. Example: a double pole "unit mount" style breaker with 30 amp rating would be number QOU230

Wrenches,
I am trying to locate part numbers for the square D breakers and interlock used for one of the old power panels from Xantrex with a T240 enclosure ( I believe), used as the inverter output / bypass. I also seem to remember there is a mounting issue with the breakers also as they come thru the front of the 'white' panel's lid.

Thanks in Advance for any help
