Carl just the suggestion that each metal roof panel be grounded is scary. There are probably no panels in existence with manufacturer installed grounding points potentially making any metal roof non-qualified for a PV installation using S5 clamps. This scenario was discussed a number of years ago on this or some other site. While it may come across as absurd for any AHJ to make such a call, it is entirely feasible.
