OK mystery solved. Stuff has changed since the 1990s. I wonder why it's not called the SW MINUS then? Good old Xantrex.

thanks

Hugh:

I apologize for disagreeing, but the SW PLUS does not have internal relays (the PS does not either). It relies on an external AGS module that has the relays.

Hi William,

If it's actually an SW and not a PS inverter then it already contains small relays that do the gen start (or they use to back in those days), and all you have/had to do is to add any larger slave relays to make it work. I don't think this AGS unit gives you any additional functions.

Warren:

I can see a few:

1. It will not interface with the SW plus,

2. It will not take advantage of the charging intelligence or load start functions in the SW plus.

3. It will work on a 48 volt system.

4. Analog settings are generally very approximate, especially with such small trim-pots.
