Carl, Macs have always worked on mod-sine, meaning the SW- and SW+-series Trace/Xantrex, the only genuine mod-sine inverters I know of. On mod-square wave, like DRs and Us, older Macs were incompatible ('90s and earlier) but more recent ones have generally worked OK. Now, on the other hand, when I was using a mod-sine SW+2524 in our home, the hard drive on our family's desktop modern Imac fried. It was replaced under warranty, but we lost all data.
