Just completed an install with ground mounted array and SunnyBoy with AC coupled connection to output bkr.panel of battery based Xantrex XW6048. The XW is also supplied from a generator for backup power during outages.
Since the battery based XW is not actually selling to grid from battery, if it is not programmed for sell mode will it allow SunnyBoy output to pass straught through when in normal grid connected mode? In other words, since solar is not normally charging the batteries unless there is a power outage and backfeeding the charger section, will XW "see" the reverse flow back to grid and block if it has not been programmed for "sell" mode itself? Any special program changes needed in XW for an AC coupled system?
