Right, Roger. But isn't that weird? If there was ever a device that exemplifies the appropriate use of naturally occurring latent energy, it has to be the water pumping windmill. I think that these machines are one of the most important inventions of the 19th century, and the technology is still excellent.

If you are speaking of wind turbines, yes they certainly qualify as a new installation.  I do not believe any repairs to existing wind turbines are covered.  If you are referring to wind mills, i.e. water pumpers, I don’t believe they qualify as renewably energy projects.

From everything I read, repairs are not covered. And I don't think windmills qualify even on a new installation.

Subject: [RE-wrenches] tax credits and repairs

Does anyone know if the 30% tax credit will apply to windmill repairs?

I just had a customer ask me and I have no idea.

I told him that i am sure not into tax advice but that i would ask..

Thanks,

Bob
