Recently the Energy Star website
(http://www.energystar.gov/index.cfm?c=tax_credits.tx_index) added this
statement:

"must have a Manufacturer Certification Statement to qualify" (for the 30% tax
credit)

This appears to be something that is just poorly worded, since everything I can
find about PV sysstems and the tax credit mentions nothing about this. However,
it has gotten us a few questions on it from customers.

That statement, apparently from IRS notice 2009-41
(http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-drop/n-09-41.pdf) does not seem to include solar
electric systems - but it is also pretty vague - in one part it mentions solar
electric, but further down the page solar electric systems are not mentioned in
the list.

Any thoughts on this?
