Wrenches, Tom Lane at ECS Solar Energy Systems asked me to post this information about Gainesville Regional Utilities' feed-in-tariff program requirement. Tom said that a lot of utilities are contacting GRU expressing interest in doing their own FIT. The solar boom continues.

We understand that the regularly scheduled FSEC solar installer classes have been filled to capacity, and they have placed some attendees on a waiting list. FSEC has assured us that if we have enough people interested in taking the solar class, they will hold a special session at the end of February or beginning of March to accommodate them. Please respond back to me if you would be interested in committing to attending a special session of the FSEC solar installers class (http://www.fsec.ucf.edu/En/education/cont_ed/pv/igcpvs/installers.php) and if there is enough interest we will work with FSEC to provide a special session.
