This issue came up here about a year ago and my rant then is the same as now. We need a solar module manufaturer to provide an "optional" conduit box on their module for those situations where we need to put array wiring in conduit for better protection, like ground mounted arrays.
One size does not fit all, and this rush by the manufactueres for "plug and play" module installation and lower production cost is missing a big market share that is still there for those of us who really need junction boxes on large wattage modules. It looks like the code is catching up and may force the issue on ground mounted arrays.
